About the job

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Cutr, you’ll help reinvent how designers and wood manufacturers collaborate—building tools that make manufacturing easier, faster, and more sustainable. You’ll take ownership of the design, development, and optimization of our web applications, ensuring they’re fast, intuitive, and delightful to use. You’ll write clean, scalable, and reusable code, and you’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver an exceptional user experience. You’ll also help guide frontend best practices across the team and mentor others. Ultimately, your work will directly shape how thousands of designers and manufacturers interact with our platform.

Our tech stack at a high level:

• Frontend: Vue.js and React.js

• Backend: Node.js (Express), PostgreSQL

• Infrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes

This role is Amsterdam or remote in locations that are near/compatible with Central European Timezone.

This role is full-time (5 days/week), and we’re not able to offer part-time arrangements

About you

• You have ~5+ years of frontend-focused software engineering experience (or equivalent proven expertise).

• You leverage AI tools daily to accelerate your workflow, from prototyping to production. You know how to get high-quality code shipped fast with AI.

• You’re fluent in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and have deep experience with at least one major frontend framework (Vue.js, React, Angular, etc.).

• You care about design systems, usability, and performance, and you’re comfortable working closely with designers to turn ideas into polished interfaces.

• You’ve built and maintained complex, production-grade web applications.

• You have experience with testing, debugging, and optimizing for performance across devices and browsers.

• You have great communication and problem-solving skills, and you enjoy mentoring and raising the bar for the team.

• You’re ambitious and motivated by the chance to grow quickly in an early stage, venture-backed startup where your work makes a big impact — and if you’ve had founder or early startup experience, that’s a huge plus.
